David Miller
Founder

David has 20 years of project experience in the commercial plant and building sector working for principal subcontractors and M&E specialists.

Specialises in mechanical plant and services to large commercial and public sector buildings. Has managed projects that fall under electrical, internal fabrication and groundworks services as well.

Qualified as a heating and ventilation engineer (NVQ level 3), David has worked as an engineer up to site management and ultimately to project management and lead.

Alex Watton
Founder

Alex has been in the construction industry since 2013 having worked in the supply, contractor and end client sectors.

Alex began as an electrical wholesaler with Edmundson Electrical, setting up and running branch level renewable and fire safety divisions. Having been involved in national accounts and contractors Alex has vast experience in the commercial and industrial electrical sector, in both commercial and contractual arrangements.

Alex now specialises in building and project consultancy which can include plant room upgrade services and renewable technologies.

James Wallis
Founder

James has 17 years of industry experience in the commercial and residential new build and commercial development sectors.

Having started as a dryliner James has worked up from an apprentice to site manager, which clients include; Bloor Homes and other large national house developers.

Site management personnel sizes varied from 2 – 60 employees and/or subcontractors across 11 live sites or 400 units.

Darey Horn
Senior Project Manager

With 22+ years in construction, Darey combines technical expertise, site-level experience, and senior leadership. He began in South Africa before moving to the UK, spending a decade managing high-spec commercial fit-outs in London, including a landmark project that won Best Fit-Out in London and Best in the UK.

For the past 10 years, he’s held senior roles with a Cambridge-based contractor, delivering complex projects such as office refurbishments, building refinements, and specialist laboratory fit-outs.

Known for precision, regulatory expertise, and seamless coordination, Darey strengthens our ability to support the region’s growing science and innovation hubs.

Gemma Killick
Operations Coordinator

As Operations Coordinator, Gemma ensures day-to-day operations run smoothly. With a background in account management and administration, she manages workloads, prioritises tasks, and keeps projects on schedule.

Her responsibilities include raising invoices, processing purchase orders, preparing tender submissions, assisting project managers with quoting, and maintaining accreditation systems. Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organised, Gemma is key to coordinating Construct Building Services and supporting the successful delivery of projects.
